Koun Breizh thanks the municipality of Dol de Bretagne for the reinstatement of the statue of NOMINOE

The Koun Breizh association would like to thank the Mayor of Dol de Bretagne for the reinstatement of the statue of Nominoë, the famous Tad ar Vro of the Bretons.

It was difficult for us to envision the new square of the cathedral without the representation of the man who most strongly marked the city of Dol de Bretagne to the point of elevating it to the head of the dioceses of Brittany.

For this reason, we sent an open letter to the municipality of Dol de Bretagne nearly a year ago.

This has now been accomplished, and we are reassured.

While our history of Brittany is not taught in schools, in disregard of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, this statue of Nominoë serves as an essential reminder of our shared past. It reminds us that we are a people with a rich history and that this bond of strength is more necessary than ever in today's world.
